The waiting game is finally over and The Galaxy Note 8 has been revealed, promising an improved S Pen functionality, 6GB of RAM and an outstanding new dual camera set-up.


New York city furnished the unveiling for the latest and most anticipated generation in the Note series: The Galaxy Note 8.


This phablet holds the biggest screen on any mobile device Samsung has ever released, making it even larger than that of the S8 Plus.


The Note 8 also debuted Samsung's dual camera technology, allowing users to take portrait shots with DSLR like bokeh effect.


The S Pen, an iconic and standout feature in the Note series, has also undergone some upgrades and added functionality.

The Galaxy Note8 has the biggest screen ever on a Note device, yet its narrow body makes it comfortable to hold in one hand. The 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display lets you see more and scroll less. The Galaxy Note8 gives you more room to watch, read and draw—making it the ultimate multitasking smartphone.  

Note users have long been able to do more with Multi Window. With the Galaxy Note8, the new App Pair feature lets you create a custom pair of apps on the Edge Panel and simultaneously launch two apps with ease. Watch a video while messaging your friends or dial into a conference call with the number and agenda in front of you2.

A New Way to Communicate with the S Pen

Since its introduction, the S Pen has been one of the Note’s defining features. With the Galaxy Note8, the enhanced S Pen unlocks entirely new ways to write, draw, and interact with the phone and communicate with friends. It has a finer tip, improved pressure sensitivity3, and features that enable users to express themselves in ways that no other stylus or smartphone ever has.

When communicating with text just isn’t enough, Live Message allows you to reveal your unique personality and tell expressive stories. With the Galaxy Note8, you can now share animated texts or drawings across platforms that support animated GIFs 4. It’s a whole new way to communicate with the S Pen—adding lively and emotional connections that bring your messages to life.

The Always On Display allows Galaxy users to stay on top of their notifications without unlocking their phone. And with the Galaxy Note8, it’s even more powerful. Screen off memo allows you to take up to one-hundred pages of notes as soon as you remove the S Pen, pin notes to the Always On Display and make edits directly from the Always On Display.

For overseas travels or when you come across a website in a foreign language, the improved S Pen Translate feature lets you hover over text to quickly translate not only individual words, but entire sentences in up to 71 languages, and instantly convert units and foreign currencies.

Better Pictures with Galaxy Note8’s Best-in-Class Camera

For most consumers, one of the things they look for when purchasing a new device is the camera. Samsung set the standard for smartphone cameras and with the Galaxy Note8, we’re delivering our most powerful smartphone camera yet.

LE GRAY, BEIRUT UNVEILS

ITS EVENTS AND CONFERENCES SPACES

Press Release – 13 July 2017 – During an event held in its new lobby, Le Gray, Beirut unveiled its

Events and Conferences Spaces which is part of an extension project including additionally a lobby

lounge, an exhibition venue and 16 new guestrooms.

With this addition and a prime central location on the very entrance of Beirut Downtown, the flagship

of Campbell Gray Hotels enlarges the scope of its business to attract the MICE market in addition to

the leisure and business markets. The project was overseen by Interior Designer Galal Mahmoud in

close collaboration with Gordon Campbell Gray.

The new guestrooms complement existing accommodation in the same contemporary-classic style,

incorporating light-filled interiors overlooking the bustling city.

The extended lobby area underneath the atrium and its new Lobby Lounge provide a welcoming

space where guests can unwind with family and friends or catch up on work. A new pedestrian

entrance will welcome guests into the new space directly on Weygand Street.

The new facilities are sure to impress Le Gray’s loyal clientele and attract new guests with additional

spaces. The Boardroom, a dramatic 20-people meeting business venue; The Muse Room, a multi-

function venue equally great for business meetings and social gatherings; The Screening Room, a

brand new 53-seat mini cinema fitted out with state-of- the-art audio-visual equipment and

comfortable seating -4k projection and Dolby Atmos sound system; The Atrium, an exhibition and art

venue at the heart of the central atrium and Le Grand Salon, a 400sqm banquet facility with a unique,

Le Gray, Beirut burst onto the hotel scene in 2009 and has become one of the city’s hottest hubs at

MED Restaurant

Duo has a new addition to its family, and they named it MED!

Located in City Center, in Hazmieh, you can either enjoy your time there in its trendy interior, or at its spacious, but light lacking dim terrace, and get pampered by their friendly and professional staff.

Even though, MED, is the abbreviation of Mediterranean, still this new restaurant has much more to offer than just oriental Lebanese food, alongside a salad bar, for those who desire!

We tried quite a few items and were quite satisfied of how they performed with our taste buds!

A beautiful aromatic start with the MED CAKE GARLIC BREAD, a large freshly baked loaf, stuffed with creamy garlic, emmental cheese and herbs. This insanely delicious appetizer will forever change your perception of the traditional garlic bread! A must have over and over again, and over again!

Mixed with sweet chilli sauce, the SHRIMP TAPAS, are soft and flavorful, served with bread slices, and so were the CREAMY SPINACH TAPAS, with chunks of mushrooms and parmesan cheese. Just spread a spoonful of that luscious dip onto a a piece of bread and you cannot be any happier!

The QUINOA TABBOULEH SALAD had a distinguished amazing secret ingredient, or maybe not! Fresh, light, perfectly seasoned and simply wonderful!

Both the GREEK PIZZA and THE PIZZA BEEF PEPPERONI had a thin dough with a moderate flavor.

An assortment of grilled veal, makanek and tawouk skewers, served with French fries,  is what they call their MIXED GRILLED PLATTER.  Completely fresh, using the highest quality ingredients.

In cute small pots, hot and straight from the kitchen, they served us BEEF STROGANOFF, which I think that the chef should revisit the recipe, but the CHICKEN CREAMY MUSHROOM SERVED WITH RICE, and in pots, as well, was delicious.

Desserts, desserts, desserts and more desserts! We felt like little children in a candy store!

A splendid crispy APPLE PIE, an explosion of chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream and caramel sauce create an intensely rich and mouthwatering DARK CHOCOLAT VOLCANO. Filled with melted chocolate and topped with vanilla ice cream, and then crushed to share OUR SPECIAL MUFFIN, with smiles on our faces! The MED ORIENTAL TWIST, with sahlab ice cream, a renovated recipe of our traditional maamoul, a warm soothing taste of the orient!

MED has so much more delightful items to savour, from starters, salads, pizzas, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, a kids menu and a variety of original main courses, which is worth a second and a third visit, if not more, to dig into those pleasures.
